Kari Tuominen, MD of Skarta Energy, is telling that goal is to complete most of the construction work and foundations by the end of November. According to Kari, the contract can be seen overall quite a large-scale as it is requiring about 2 million kilos of concrete reinforcements and 15,000 cubic meters of concrete as well as the extent of the roads built will be 13 kilometers.
- We are glad that Skarta, as a builder of clean technology, can be involved to promote EPV Energia's emission-free energy production. Above all, Skarta can bring in long-term experience from wind power constructions, says Kari Tuominen.
EPV Energia's subsidiary company EPV Tuulivoima Oy is responsible of overall wind farm execution. Vestas was selected as a turbine supplier. Completed wind farm capacity will be 102 megawatts. Turbine’s lifting is planned to begin in 2022, and EPV Energia Group's sixth industrial-scale wind farm is estimated to be completed in 2023.
According to Frans Liski, CEO of EPV Tuulivoima, already 2020 about 26 percent of EPV's energy production came from wind power. The company has invested more than 500 million euros in wind power alone in recent years.
